Fostering Healthy Eating Habits in Children and Youth
Fostering Healthy Eating Habits in Children and Youth
We are dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits through supportive nutrition environments in which children learn, work and play. Our works seeks to understand how children's food environments influence behaviours, with the goal of designing effective and scalable interventions to improve children’s physical, mental and social health and well-being.
Understanding children's and families health behaviours
Our team leads research to better understand the social and contextual factors shaping health behaviours among children, youth and families in Canada. We also conduct studies to monitor inequalities in nutrition-related outcomes among children in Canada.
Building and testing community nutrition interventions
We develop, test and evaluate interventions to promote supportive nutrition environments in home and community settings (schools and early learning and child care settings) where children live, learn and play.
