Fostering Healthy Eating Habits in Children and Youth
Fostering Healthy Eating Habits in Children and Youth
We are dedicated to promoting healthy eating habits through supportive nutrition environments in which children learn, work and play. Our works seeks to understand how children's food environments influence behaviours, with the goal of designing effective and scalable interventions to improve children’s physical, mental and social health and well-being.
Assessment of children’s eating practices
We identify food and nutrition-related issues drawing from large databases and cohorts. This work aimed at describing determinants and nutritional disparities among children to guide public health interventions.
Children's food environments
We examine how factors at various levels shape children's food environments and how these environments influence children's behaviours and health outcomes.
Building and testing community nutrition interventions
We test and evaluate community-based nutrition interventions to promote supportive nutrition environments in schools and early childhood care and education (ECCE) settings.
